Bob !
Before you go jumping om me go and reread what I said about your QTH and the
west coast of Tasmania.
Now you say you have never seen them stop.
Well I have just remembered something i read a while back. It was UK info.
For technical reasons when the wind drops they feed power into the turbines
to keep them rotating. I have not a clue if they do that in Albany but it would
be interesting to know.
The big unmentionable of wind turnbines is that the output falls to the cube of the wind speed fall. That is why they only get 15% of nameplate rating on
average over anumber of installations.
These are fundermentals Bob and cannot be dodged.
