Some time ago there was a lot of discussion regarding the use of
alternative fuels to replace petroleum products to fuel public transport.
The opinion of some so called experts in the field were used as an
argument against the use of hydrogen as a fuel for vehicles using internal
combustion engines, particularly buses.
Well in spite of the pessimistic predictions the fuel cell driven bus is
very much alive and well and its use has spread worldwide.
A search reveals that hydrogen fuelled buses are running in many cities
throughout the world, including London, Perth, Beijing, San Francisco, and
at least a dozen other major cities throughout Europe and Asia.
The "experts" can only make predictions according to the knowledge they
have access to at the time , and that knowledge changes daily. There have
been many instances of the experts making monstrous booboos throughout
history through making ppredictions which do not allow for advances in
technology..Circumstances change and technology advances daily.Oil
products as fuels may soon be obsolete and redundantas technology
advances. Who DARES to predict what we will be using in 2050?
Cheers,
