Hi Harry and all,

Just to rub salt in the wound now you can listen to Les Barker;
"Reinstalling Windows". (;->) Now here's how it usually goes, your AV
flagged a virus and since it was detected it's in the database so it can
be removed safely. Maybe next time you'll ignore the suggestions, one of
which directed you to a rogue website. That one installed false warnings
as an inducement to buy their fake AV, just one more bit of junk you must
remove. Don't look now but the original virus finally caught up to itself
and crashed your system, back to square one, do not pass go. Oh and the
best way to remove a sticky one is boot in safe mode (bare bones loading
of the OS) and run the AV not forgetting those nasties that are memory
resident, they only reinstall the virus.

It's good to have you back and remember that if an animal in the wild
makes a mistake and survives it'll never make the same one twice.
