Hello All,
I have come accross this video of the Engineers Australia
Queensland Branch conference on South East Queensland Transport
System in the Peak Oil and Climate Change Era.
You can find the videos at this site about half way down the page.
There are two parts. The first is two hours and the second about 1 1/2 hours.
http://eaq.mediavisionz.com.au/
There seems to have been nothing along these lines at all in NSW or Sydney.
However many of the opinions expressed are relevant to Sydney or anywhere
else in the world.
The speakers are
> Sustainable Communities and Transport Professor Peter Newman -
Professor of Sustainability, Curtin University
Peak Oil:
Threats and Opportunities for Southeast Queensland's Transport System
Stuart McCarthy - Brisbane Coordinator for the Australian Association
for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas
Connecting SEQ 2031:
An integrated regional transport plan for SEQ Arthur Stamatoudis -
Principal Manager (Transport Strategy), Department of Transport
and Main Roads
Brisbane City Council Transport Plan for Brisbane 2008 to 2026 Barry Broe
Divisional Manager Brisbane Infrastructure, Brisbane City Council
In part 2
Rail's Role in a Sustainable Transport Future Tony Ramsden -
Environment and Sustainability Strategy, Queensland Rail
Alternative Transport Tristan Peach
OPEN FORUM FOR DISCUSSION WITH ALL SPEAKERS TO FORM A PANEL
Regards
Barry VK2AAB
