Hi Pete and anyone left around here,
No, my gas doesn't power the station, it powers ME. Now pay attentio to
the tag line! Oh, I should mention coffee in the catalytic converter as a
sort of cold fusion reactor and the plush seat cushion as a muffler,
don't want to disturb the neighbors.
Yup, those films have a few bloopers left in by design, they're called
Easter eggs. Like you said the Russian ambassador in Doctor Strangelove
is one, you have to pay attention to see him laughing in the background.
Mel Brooks' films are full of them and some are quite obscure, in Young
Frankenstein I still haven't figured out where "Blucher" came from. He
was a Prussian general but what Mel or some writer had in mind is a big
fat mystery, it doesn't fit the film at all.
Maria's cooking should keep everyone going, all fueled up for playing in
the snow. We had some flurries here, thankfully so far no big mess to
deal with but winter is far from over. The big mess was ME last week when
I thought I could beat the flakes to the store, a block away I got caught
in a sudden squall and arrived looking like Frosty all covered in wet,
sloppy stuff, the bike likewise. It came down fast and furious, whiteout
conditions which were bad enough, stinging my face and eyes I shielded
with my hand looking at the curb and this was along a highway no less.
Well, I finally got back no flatter than I left but a whole lot wetter
and colder, spent the rest of the day thawing out. Have fun, I did... NOT!
That reminds me, word and photos out of the UK tell me they're having a
cold and snowy winter. Word out of South Australia tells me they're
having a cool summer, so much for global warming. Oh, echoes inside the
Tank say things in NSW are pretty normal, give a listen to Ray sometime
and be sure to stay "tuned" for the inimitable Ted, you'll know what I
mean when you hear him, be sure to listen closely and prepare to wonder.
I leabe you with this note on FUEL, I hear Ukraine and Russia are
squabbling over gas and the UK is just a bit colder as a result. Hitler
had the right idea and someone overlooked the fact, if you're going to
depend on foreign imports first make them domestic.
