Hi Bob and others,

Injection two strokes are not that new Bob, I used to ride a 250cc Yamaha
DS7 back in the sixties which was an oil injection two stroke. Not only
that, but because it was injected I could run the two stroke engine on
castor oil (castrol ??, I can't remember the exact name of the oil) which
couldn't be used in mixing type two strokes because it wouldn't mix with
petrol.

When motorists used to annoy me I would ride in front of them and lean
down to pull on the cable which adjusted the oil injection to match the
engine revs. This would inject ten times the needed oil into the engine
and smoke them out with a smokescreen that would have done justice to a
WW1 battleship. Left them choking on the sickeningly sweet smell of the
castor oil

Of course I was a lot younger then............

                                      Regards Tony VK3API

By the way you could tell when the two strokes were banned elsewhere. It
was the era here of the $50 generator sets and similar really cheap 2
stroke driven devices being dumped here to get rid of them...
