It's interesting that in the case of my Honda, repair agents aren't
interested in motor repairs, or even stocking spare parts, in some cases. I
can import any engine part I want from the US and will probably get a new
set of rings to keep the old girl alive a bit longer. I can get rings for
about $60 Australian. A replacement motor will set me back about $1300.
Given that the mower is around 20 years old and many parts (gearbox, for
example) are no longer available, I'd be crazy to fit a new motor.

We used to nickname them Guardsvans, which takes me right back to trains
again :-)
