600cc is the largest scooter sold here I am told. What differentiates it
from a motor cycle is the size of the wheels. The scooters have small
wheels with balloon tyres, and your feet rest on a platform rather than
your legs straddling a tank. This means no foot brake, just front and rear
brakes on the handlebars with the twist grip throttle. No gears, all
automatic.No large wheels or tyres.
The latest scooters seen here have three wheels at the front but they cost
nearly five times as much as the 2 wheeled variety.
