Ray has it right. I was driving a small diesel truck to Perth a few years
ago when I pulled in to a roadhouse to get fuel. I was standing chatting
to the pump attendant when I took a sniff and said, "What are you putting
in there?" It was petrol. He switched to the diesel pump and told me that
that miuch petrol would not do any harm and I got that lot free. He was
right anyway as I noticed no difference in the running of the nehicle.
