Hello Warren oh great Kaptiano and " ... ?" but they are
reading along Warren because we both are not static but

Lenny ? mmm somehow Kravits comes to mind with the chick on
drums who does a neat style and change I really like.
Yeah do my music homework ... what music? I was talkshow
phone-in night guy..and the only time there was music
was when I had live groups in to keep the spiders awake.

Yes Jean Shepherd of WOR-AM New York. Also his hoax
was rated in the top 5 hoaxs. It was, and is great
reading.

shep is no longer with us, but his legacys still are out
there in the world, including some cameos in some shows
played at Christmas.
No one sells Pop Com here either. I had to go to a store
I knew that carried it, and get there before the local CB
mob decended and cleaned him out of it.
And since it was in your area....even if you are across
in New Jersey, you might remember him...along with the
other great memorys you have Warren of the fun which
was real in those days on radio ....and yes the
all night listeners and the daytime people were referred
to like Jean said...Them and US...and if not for Jean's
listeners they could have not carried out the hoax.
All listners to Jean had a share in that hoax and
putting one over on "them" the daytimers.

I used to in late 60s be late night on CB and also at
a radio station, and so I can associate with your comments
and others, of the absolute most wonderful world we had
during the night....with a local group of listners and
phone calls, and a supporting staff in station it all
was wonderful and some very good memorys.
I think the material flowing between the control room
and the on-air host were also worth keeping and playing
sometime. At the Cable Station ....beware the camera
and the staff.... party tape time bloopers!
Some of our AM stations also carried CB base stations, so
we also had a lot of fun there too...but also we did a lot
of things that started on CB and now are annual things
like Toy Drives or Food Hampers at Christmas and throughout
the year...to taking Seniors from nursing homes on drives
at night to see the christmas lights...etc.

At least you....unlike so many others acknowledge where
you got your on-air nametag. On my panel productions
I always cast myself as the staight guy who would challenge
people over things like seeing UFOs ... a part I played
that got some interesting nasty calls...but then I knew
I was doing my part to make the show see both sides.
Yeah ....I had an UGH! .. but thats where we drop this
and move along.

Warren ... me too! I miss so many people at various
stations I would listen to, that I have stopped listening
to the station. There are so many people out there that
are unknown to me, that when I hear their tapes and some
smaples of their work on-air I wish I could have been
there to hear them, and even call in to the show.
Yes...me too...I miss'em all....and the list is growing.

I guess this should have been a different topic, but it did
make me wish all the folks I have listened to and also some
packeteers were back. Some I guess I will regret, but then
they made reading all the better and kept interest going
as to their next barge of swill...hahaha...but thats what
the big problem is...when they are gone...we miss'em.
Hmmm...lets see who that applys to and who thinks it applys
to them, as no doubt as before we might get back a posting
and a blistering attack on my person....hhhahaha
Yes ...Warren and readers .... We do miss everyone!
Have a great day . Now Rusty and I are off for the
morning walk, and Rusty wants to go over and see ALLAND
....actually thats how I say ALLYN VE3PRG who is quite
sick....and in need of some TLC. After Rsuty's
last visit there Allyn didn't want him back..but then
he never says what he wanted anymore.....cuz thats
why I went over there with Rusty < Rusty really likes
ALLYN > Get Allyn on Packet and ask him about this
if you ever see a posting from VE3PRG hahahahaha.
