dear readers,

we operate here on oe5xbl on 5 frequency in parallel.

144.900 - packet radio access in afsk 1k2 and 2k4
144.800 - aprs igate and digi in afsk 1k2
433.800 - aprs igate and digi in afsk 1k2
438.475 - packet radio access in afsk 1k2, 2k4 and fsk 4k8, 9k6
1240,200 - interlink to db0aat in fsk 19k2 full duplex

all those radios are connected to a single computer where the
ptt lines are controlled with gpio lines.

the NF is generated and sampled with in sum 3 soundcards.
every soundcard provides 2 input and 2 output channels (stereo).

So we drive for each band (2m, 70cm, 23cm) a soundcard.

The single mainboard with the 3 USB sound carsds is a embedded device
which consumes about 5-6W power. Everything running on 12V

So far about the hardware side.

On software side there is running some linux with "oe5dxl's afskmodem".
The naming 'afskmodem' is choosen a bit unhappy, since the modem is
more a multibaud monster which can operate up to 7 modems on a single
audio stream. So in theory we could operate 14 different baud and or
modes with a single stereo soundcard.

The "middleware" after the modem is AXUDP (v2) which then could be
easy connected to all the other stuff (pc/flexnet, aprs igate, aprs-
digi, ...).

At oe5xbl we have on a another embedded pc a instance of pc/flexnet32
for standard packet radio access running (linked with axudp to the
modems).
For aprs we use (also from oe5dxl) udpgate as i-gate and udpbox as aprs-digi.

best 73,
hannes - oe5hpm
