KISS Mode requires no parameters other than KISS ON and a power off and
back on. The AX.25 PAD is bypassed so that the controlling program can
directly form the packets and take over the higher level controls
necessary for communications.
Use Hardware RTS/CTS control on the serial port. Anything 9600 and above
should use it as well as some sort of FIFO buffering.
What kind of system failure? Lockup? GPF? Just plain failure to comm?
