"UNDER no circumstances should two men ever share an umbrella."
When I was a boy of 10 years old, sixty years or so ago, I was told of
our local treacle mine, situated at a place called Uckerby, about 3
miles SW of my QTH. Some friends and I decided to bike over and have a
butchers at it. Trouble is we never found it. I wonder why?
On a different tack, Lionel G6HXW, wrote in a bulletin or whilst

My QTH, Kirton-in-Lindsey, is supposed to be the smallest town
in the whole of Lincolnshire and has none of the above, except for
the yobs, and there are too many of those. It used to have a cinema
in the Town Hall but that went many years ago. The station is still
there, if it can be called a station, and only runs 3 passenger
trains a week, each way, and on a Saturday only!
Now I wonder. If I get on my electrically assisted bike, head South
West, if I can find that treacle mine? Regards and....
