In the air force we used to send the young new guys to the main store to
pick up some fallopian tubing.
On a farm once, we sent another to the other end of the farm to find the
long weight. We showed him a short weight, a metal rod with a lump of metal
at one end, and explained that it was similar but longer. Kept him busy for
hours.
