Depends if your going to use a GUI or the command line. If your not going to 
use A GUI then Linux is Linux is Linux. Debian may be a better choice.


For ease of use and installation with a GUI I would say Mandrake 9.1 followed 
by SuSE. 

I used MDK 9.1 for a long while but I prefer SuSE 8.2. Both have autoupdate 
abilities.
