Not much of an argument from one who knows transmission lines. (;->)

Yes, the characteristic impedance of paralllel feeder depends on three 
things, conductor diameter, spacing and dielectric material. Still it's 
fairly unimportant in Amateur multiband antenna design since return loss 
is the most important thing. Since such loss is insignificant in such 
line even with high SWR it is the preferred transmission line.

Now if you really want to push me into deep water (over my head) we can 
include commercial HF and SWBC applications. For what it's worth, since 
New Jersey is home to two large coastal HF stations still standing but 
not operating I have seen their transmission lines looking like anything 
from ordinary 6" ladder line to something resembling high voltage 
transmission lines on big wooden poles. I have seen parallel lines used 
at megawatt HF broadcasting stations like VOA that looks like copper 
water pipe on tall ceramic posts looking again like some sort of high 
voltage system. Well, when you think of it, there is considerable high RF 
potentials along those lines so the switch yard looks like a power sub 
station. (;->)
