If Jack Benny were a Ham he would understand the reference. (;->)
It looks like the UK and a bunch of other places too need some laws
giving Amateurs some protection from the local dictators. We're working
on it here, have made considerable progress, but still have a long way to
go. Having Hams in key government positions on several levels and
legislators who understand the need for such things sure helps, but what
helps more is a well informed, well organized effort on the part of
Amateurs themselves.
I'm sure you can get some things going so you can dethrone "The Almighty
Associacion/Council". As much as we may want to crush the landlord
underfoot, a reasonable compromise which recognizes the rights of the
tennants is long overdue.
Thankfully I have a landlord with a strictly hands off attitude (as long
as it's not HIS TV) so far, so good. (;->)
For those not so fortunate there is always the stealth antenna, CW key
and headphones or mobile only operation.
