Then we should be smarter and say..... Double Sideband Full Carrier.
BTW I have has several AM contacts of late on 144 MHz. And even a 1296 MHz
AM contact in the last 12 months.
It brings back memories of playing 27MHz in the 70's, trying to crack onto
that spunky sounding 'YL'.....ah yes, good old days!
