Hello all Modulators.
Andy, G0FTD, asks about the present day use of AM on the Haam bands.
I believe there is a small group in, or around, Melbourne (VK3) using
AM with carrier. One of their interests is in 'good quality' audio!
I am not able to hear these transmissions, so maybe some other locals
will provide more detail. Of course, SSB is sill AM, isn't it. :-)
Personally, the days of a nice sounding voice from a 'wideband' receiver
and a suitable loud-speaker, are but pleasant memories.
