Hello Ian,

Sorry OM, you're WAY off beam! Your comments have NOTHING to do with the
discussion.

Your comments about your transmitting on 2M with a restricted licenase
and another station retransmitting you on a band outside your priveliges
is another matter entirely and you're correct, it's perfectly legal. The
FCC rules are quite the same regarding this, I have used "remote bases"
to link me to bands outside my priveliges many times and have had no
problems, it's legal.

In this case, you transmit ONLY on bands you're allowed to and SO DOES
the other station. The operator of the station transmitting ON THE AIR is
SOLELY responsible to see to it that he does so within his license
priveliges.

As a matter of fact, this very message originally transmitted by me on 2M
has been transmitted on HF by K1UOL, HF is outside my license priveliges.
KB2VXA is responsible for the 2M end only and K1UOL is responsible for
the HF end only.

Don't mind those Brits, especially Andy, they're confused as always, but
then again so were you. With a little luck ignorance will once again be
cured by education. Well, sometimes you have to put down the wrench and
pick up a hammer when the joint won't budge. (;->)

Now if people would heed the little message below, problem solved, and
that's only ONE of the many problems Internet linking causes.
