That just can't be right.
If Andy is correct then that would mean ANY website that contained an
Amateurs callsign, or ANY email address that contains an Amateurs callsign
would be subject to the terms of BR68 et al.
That is because it is very easy to link from the internet into the amateur
radio network and back out into the internet.
All those "for-sale" items on Amateurs websites that are outside the terms
of the Amateur Radio Licence are just one example. Any negotiations about
price etc are also outside the same licence.
*IF* the interconnections between the internet and amateur radio were 100%
secure then maybe Andy would be right. But the truth of the matter is that
it is very easy to gain access to amateur radio anywhere in the world from
the internet without even using a callsign.
As it isn't 100% secure, that is one reason that I am against internet
linking of amateur radio.
I think the case of GB7ABC , being purely an internet BBS, is *NOT* subject
to the terms of the amateur radio licence. If he called it GB70ABC then as
it isn't an issued callsign then that would be ok, would it ?
If Andy is right then we should expect to see the courts full of amateurs
being prosecuted left, right and centre.

So once someone has been prosecuted, and licence revoked, it will be perfectly
ok to carry on exactly as before without fear of further prosecution.
