Hi,
I am not against TCP/IP and Packet Radio working together.. In fact I plan on setting up a
TCP/IP port so I can sysop when out of town...
What I have a hard time understanding is how can one build promote and be Proud of an "Entirely
Web Based Packet RADIO BBS.." In the name of Amateur Radio...
Ok.. I supose it takes work and a lot of it.. but even at that its not HAM RADIO...
Why not setup atleast one port on HF, or 2.4GHZ and make a wi-fi link for local users...?
You mention come on board and sell your items.. If all Packet RADIO Oorators were to depend on an
Entirely Webbased packet Radio System. Using on an Internet connection.. We would indeed have a
lot of equipment to try and sell on the web site.. but who would need it...
Lets keep RF in the picture...
I know a lot of people yell about the internet is not ham radio.. By itself as you describe it is
not ... If you atleats maintain one radio RF port... You will atleats be able to rationalize the u
se of and right to do so.. The term.. Amataeur Packet RADIO.....
What do you say.,.. No flame intended.. just lets keep RF radio and either in the amateur radio Ho
bby... How can RADIO be totally excluded..????
