Ingredients

4 ounces (100 grams) Butter
3 ounces (75 grams) Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon spice
1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
1 Egg
8 ounces (225 grams) Plain Flour or 4 ounces (100 grams) Plain Flour and 4
ounces (100 grams) Ground Rice
1 scant teaspoon Baking Powder


Instructions

Cream butter, sugar and spices together. Add egg and beat. Mix in dry
ingredients. Knead on a floured board. Roll out thin, cut into rounds. Bake on
cold greased trays 15 to 20 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Put together with raspberry jam and ice the top of each biscuit, decorate with
a piece of angelica or cherry.“
