Hi Pete and all,
Now that I have everybody's attention, the subject is (or part of it)
hash browns. You mentioned fried mashed potatoes, that's where the
leftovers went in our house too. Eh, never use a cooked potato to make
stew unless you want mush, can't get my mind around that. We never had
leftover fish so the cakes were cod cakes from the supermarket. Now every
fish there is comes as a fish cake of some kind or other, don't people
cook from scratch anymore? Same for potatoes, more kinds of frozen
potatoes than McDonalds can dress up mystery meat they have the audacity
to call a hamburger. Oh, back in the frozen aisle we have Bubba Burgers,
what the HELL is that?
You mentioned "real" pizza, it's simply pie in Italian so we can call
just about anything pizza just to confuse the Yanks. Eh, we're confused
enough already but in a good way, a good pizza chef is creative, I'm
beginning to see more ways to make it than ever before. Oh before I
forget, you're talking about Pizza Florintene (sp?) if you want to call
it that, they have their own way of making "traditional" Italian dishes
in Florence.
"We are lucky to have garbage monthly."
McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell... what?
