I just KNEW you wouldn't, if you try to understand my twisted humor 
you'll only get a headache.

Shot'nin' Bread isn't an American folk song nor was it ever a plantation 
song even if it was written in "Blacklish". The first version was written by white poet James Whitcomb Riley in 1900.
Shortening bread is a fried batter bread, the ingredients of which include
corn meal, flour, hot water, eggs, baking powder, milk and shortening.
Unless you speak Blacklish you'll get an even worse headache trying to 
figure out those mispronounced words like Put on de lead
just doesn't work that way, lead is poisonous. Put on de led, put on the 
lid (of the skillet).

But you have to learn to speak American first. (;->)

Personally I like cone bread much better, now figure that one out. (;->)
