"Picnic Dainties

                   Typed by ZL1ABS

Ingredients

1 1/2 Breakfast cups Plain Flour
4 ounces (100 grams) butter
2 ounces (50 grams) sugar
2 heaped Teaspoons baking powder
Milk to mix
Raspberry Jam
Instructions

Rub butter into sifted flour; add sugar & baking powder, then sufficient
milk to make a stiff dough. Roll out; cut into rounds. Place one teaspoon
of raspberry jam in the centre of each, wet the edges, and fold over.
Place on cold greased oven trays. Bake about 15 minutes at 400 degrees
Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius)."

From my mother's old New Zealand cookery book (1956 edition), printed by a
maker of baking powder, custard powder, cornflour and jelly crystals.
