Hi Pete and all,
My my, how the topic wanders! No, I wouldn't dare tempting the dieters
over on OM to eat greasy stuff, they'd end up with goo in their arteries.
I only mentioned frozen fries to illustrate a point, as far as I'm
concerned they taste yucky except for the grease laden messes you get at
you know where. I haven't eaten THERE in ages even though they're right
down the street, I can get a much better meal at the local diner when I
can afford one. (;->) As far as fried stuff and eating better in general
is concerned, the only cooking appliance we're allowed is a microwave
oven or microondas if you prefer, but that's the state fire prevention
view on rooming houses. This landlord enforces it so that's what I'm
stuck with, oh well. Some years ago I lived in one that had a kitchen,
typically a mess with people fighting over the stove, I never used it.
"Beware the Return of BOB..."
You dropped an L in there someplace, they did make a sequel to the Steve
McQueen movie but it sucked raw eggs as pretty much any such attempt
usually does. What they did to Night Of The Living Dead was a travesty, a
plethora of zombie movies each one worse than the last but I digress...
Hark The Herald Dingoes Sing, Santa in shorts is quite the thing. You
should see his red bush hat, he looks like a fat Crocodile Dundee!
Speaking of returns, Glen reinforced my suspicion yesterday so beware The
Return Of Weirdo coming to a BBS near you. He wanted to be McWeirdo but
having too many characters for the TO field I told him to stick with the
familiar. I hope he doesn't back out and make a liar out of me, I'm
pretty sure there are a few who miss him and will be glad to have him
back.
FB on Northern Word, I see you have recompiled it so when you get a
chance to go through the whole thing you'll end up laughing. Maybe it'll
prompt you to tip a wee dram of single malt, ACH, that hit the spot!
So what happened to the recipes? I guess they'll come back when we stop
scaring them away. One final note, back when I worked at the airport I
got a chuclke out of the Japanese pronunciation. Every time one came
through the parking toll lanes he'd ask for a recipe, I'll let you figure
it out. (;->)
