I can not rightl remember when this "Puotine" was added to chips,
or French Fries, as I first saw it served at a mall in the city.

Never tried it, but then after placing an order one day, I noted
they poured gravy over the chips, and added the cheese cubes,
thus "Puotine" and the idea I got from somewhere , was this came
from Quebec. I used to like my chips and gravy and I dip the
chip in the sauce-gravy at Swiss Chalet all the time, but never
tired this "Puotine".

Yeah the USSR allowed the comrades to have Mac Attacks, and eat those
sawdust tasting whatevers. At least thats what I feel I am eating
when my last Mac Attack, the so-called special sauce felt like
sawdust taste afterwards...killed the taste of anything else in there.

Some of the Russian players and others from the former Warsaw Pact
nations, and those states once Communist, come over here and are
over at the Golen Arches, as they are familar to them ...so well
brainwashed like the rest of us. SO Ian have you been to KFC
for the "Big Downer" ????

Sounds like my time in South America.. Maria took me to MAC D's to
feel like I was at home ... mmmm. They are the same all over the
world, just money and language are the differences. Thats what
I find.

Hmmm Hindu chips, as in Curry flavoured chips?

> I wonder if they have Pommes Frites in Canada ?

Yes same here and in Brasil. I like Monjaka fries as it
is the original root of the potato which comes from....
South America...Still remember m first time trying them
and the laughs I got in disecting.

Good to hear from you Ian. careful with that waistline...I
had to ban all OMs from reading your postings due to our health
kick and preserving all my fellow OMs.

When it also comes to the famed combination of Fish n Chips
I see the fish used is varied, here to there in the world.

Better get going...this is rather late, and I have early morning
shovelling to do ... Yes David G4EBT if you are following along
"QT" the snow has finally come....aaah :(

I am in a retirement area, and those with canes and wheelchairs
have a reall bad time of it.

P.S.= In last part... " reall" should be "really". the darn "Y" key
      is sticking ... oops :)
