Peppermint Squares
Typed by Michael ZL1ABS
Base
4 ounces Butter
1 Egg
1/4 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons Cocoa
1 cup coconut
1 packet malt biscuits - crushed
Custard
2 ounces Butter
Peppermint flavour
2 cups icing sugar
Green food colouring
2 tablespoons Custard powder
Icing
2 ounces Cooking Chocolate
2 Tablespoons Butter
Method
Melt butter, sugar and cocoa.
Add beaten egg, biscuits and coconut.
Put into sponge roll tin and place in fridge.
Cream second measure butter and icing sugar, then add custard powder,
peppermint flavour and green colouring.
Spread over bars.
Melt chocolate and butter and cover over custard.
Keep in the fridge.
