"Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
8 pounds (128 ounces or 3.6 kilograms) Tomatoes
1 quart (1.2 litres) Vinegar
4 ounces (115 grams) Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 teaspoon Allspice in muslin bag
1 ounce (28 grams) Cloves in muslin bag
2 pounds (900 grams) Apples
6 large Onions
2 pounds (28 ounces or 900 grams) White Sugar
Instructions
Cut tomatoes, apples and onions. Put all ingredients into a preserving
pan. Boil 3 hours. Put through colander and bottle. Cork when cold."
