"Cornish Pasties

typed by Michael ZL1ABS

Ingredients

4 ounces (100 grams) Flaky or Short Pastry
4 ounces (100 grams) Raw Meat (cut up small)
1 Raw Potato (cut up small)
1 small Onion
Pepper and Salt
1 tablespoon Gravy or Water

Instructions

Cut pastry into four pieces. Roll out and cut with a saucer. Put about 1
tablespoon of the mixture on to the centre of each round of pastry. Wet
the edges, join on top, and shape with finger and thumb. Prick on the
either side with a fork. Bake about 30 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit
(205 degrees Celsius)."

From my mother's old New Zealand cookery book (1956 edition), printed by a
maker of baking powder, custard powder, cornflour and jelly crystals.
