OK so the Northern England leek growers, and Bob Flowerdew the organic
gardening guru of Radio4 know that re cycled beer and cider is a superb
organic source of nitrogen, and often make the fact known.
Ideal for all the cabage family too.
Question is when the mother in law comes to dinner at what stage do you
mention the fertiliser used on the brussels sprouts. Or is it best to keep
quiet.
