13. Haugesund YMCA Scouts will be active on JOTA from Sandbekken campsite
close to Haugesund. Sandbekken has also a museum momorating Cleng
Peerson, the father of emigration from Norway to USA.
The scouts will be QRV from Saturday morning to Sunday around noon. We
will use the HF bands. In the dark hours we will try to erect an antenna
for 160 meter. This will be a full quarter wave vertical. This is
possible by using a meteorological baloon.
We might also be QRV on SSTV.
A special QSL card with photo of the campsite will be issued.
Listen (and look) for us on the HF bands during the event.
We can't state which frequencies we will use, and the scout QRGs are
usually too crowded to use for a sqed.
Give us a word if you would like a qso.
