JAMBOREE ON THE AIR J.O.T.A., is being held over the week end of
october 21th and 22th with DUNKIRK'SCOUTS de FRANCE and
O.M's from RADIO CLUB JEAN BART from DUNKIRK.
For the second year consecutive, scouts groups and OM's from DUNKIRK district
should be very active in the hobby of Amateur Radio during
the JAMBOREE ON THE AIR (J.O.T.A.).
This year is the 38 th J.O.T.A. event and it is being held over the week end
of october 21 and 22 th in BERGUES at 11 Kms south of DUNKIRK,
pleasant city of Flandria, in a public garden who is an old monastery site
between the Square Tower (Tour Carree) and the Sharp Tower ( Tour pointue)..
In 1994, 112 countries, 515 000 scouts guides and 5 000 OM's have operate
during this world-wide event, who was set-up to demonstrate amateur radio
to the scouts who attented this event.
The station's call sign, is like the passing year, TM9 JAM and should be
active saturday 21th and sunday 22th of october from 08 00 to 16 00 hours TU.
The station should be working
in VHF, FM mode on 145,525 MHz
also on the repeater of FIEFS on frequency of 145,6875
(output of the repeater) with QSY on nearby frequency.
on VHF Packet mode on frequency of 145,675 MHz
BBS are F6CMN-1 @FNPP.FRA.EU
and ON4MOU-1 @HT.BEL.EU
in short wawes, 20 and 40 meters bands. (SSB and CW).
:Transmissions and contacts should be made on other bands and frequencies
( SSB in VHF, SSTV,) owing to the propagation and available stations.
From october 19th at 00.00 TU, you can call TM9JAM-1 on packet.
