Radio News Bulletin

Sunday August 27th 2006

Kerry Amateur Radio Group

The club operated at the Cromwell Point Lighthouse (IRE-077), Valentia
Island, Co. Kerry on the 19th and 20th of August for International
Lighthouse weekend. In spite of poor band conditions on the Sunday, an
excess of two hundred contacts were made over the weekend using an inverted
L antenna and 50 watts as the primary station. The majority of these were
made on CW, and the club owes a great debt of gratitude to Brendan, EI0CZ,
for travelling all the way down from Co. Clare to support the event.

The next monthly meeting is on Saturday, 2 September 2006 (8 days from now)
in the coffee shop at Muckross House, Killarney National Park, starting at
10am.
