Hiya Warren, and anyothers tagging along .....but don't get too
close to Warren ...if you know what I mean... hee hee hee

I agree with you about SPAM .... but it was a saver in wartime
conditions, so not too many people looked into what was and
was not in the mix.

As for "Bully-Beef" my dad was not in CANADA but a volunteer
in 1939 before the war, in France with the British Army, as a
show of strength. No he didn't think about Teddy and his
favourite word..which seems to be "Bully ...this or that".

He called Canned Coned Beef ...Bully-Beef, and made sure when
we moved to CANADA that my mother brought it.

Got both your postings to fuel @ww and will answer as time
permits, as tomorrow I have to check weather to see whether
or not I can take the Brasilians to Niagara Falls.

Hey the month is going fast, and I am trying to get as much in
as possible.

BTW ....I was looking at the steam engine local around here
that we took the ride. Seems it is being restored...saw a
plaque that it was rebuilt in Montreal in 1914. On the website
they showed some of the restoration of the pipes in the boiler
and the fact not too many people do this sort of work anymore.
It was so sad....as now they are pulling the cars with a diesel.

-21c here tonight.....time to get some wood...build a fire,
and check my ailing aged dog and see if I can make him more
comfortable tonight...the cold has been murder for him, as
his rear leg injurys catch up to him .... bummer the thoughts
that go through my mind....but he knows , as I hope he
does I am doing all I can to help him.

ttfn Warren .... will try to email the engine pictures
