Hia,,

You have MISUNDERSTOOD The AVG Version Numbers.. 

6.0.399 is the Program/scan engine that the program uses.

401 is the Latest Update of the anti vir Dat Files and was the LATEST
Update on the website, It was ALSO the update that is causing Problems for
everyone that downloaded the update after 2pm on the 10th ! 

Sometime during the period from 2pm to 9:00pm the files on the grisoft
site became corrupted..

Downloads BEFORE that time are all perfectly OK.. 

I hope that clears any misunderstanding you may have had..
