Hi everyone..
The ongoing problems with grisoft's AVG, At the time of writing this
message the Update on the Websites are STILL Corrupt..
HOWEVER as I said in an earlier message today, Grisoft Technical Support
have e-mailed me a new file to fix the problem..
I have now Downloaded the update and copied this file in to the
\program_files\grisoft\avg6 Dir and rebooted the PC
AVG Is Now installed to the latest possible version and its working with
Nero's INCD without a hitch, All other problems have also been cleared
up by replacing this one file...
OK So as Grisoft have NOT got round to updating the website I can e-mail
this fix to anyone that wants it.. As I said its worked ok on My win Xp
setup so it should be ok on yours!! (no guarantees though, other than its
installed and working fine here)
If you decide you want it, and I send it to you, Here's how you use it..
Connect to Grisoft.cz and let the install download
When it asks you to Reboot, tell it NO
exit AVG, Close AVG Down, ie right click on the Icon on the task bar,
Shutdown AVG.
Open outlook express, Select the message I send you with the attachment
on it, Click on the paper clip icon at the right hand side of the message,
Select SAVE..
Save it to \whatever drive letter you use
ie C:\ OR D:\ OR E:\program_files\grisoft\avg6
EXIT your mail program..
Reboot your PC ie select shut down \ restart pc
when it restarts AVG will be running ok and so will Nero INCD
It also fixes the other problems that were caused by this corrupted file..
I hope that this helps anyone thats had the same problems as I and many
other have had...
I can also send the patch out as a 7+ file if anyone wants it that way..
rather than e-mail.. its only 24.6kb or thereabouts..
