I don't know the comms frequency to subs, but Omega was a radionavigation
system. It used three frequencies: 10.2, 13.6, and one I forgot. (11.??)
kHz. There were to be 8 stations and I think in the end they were all in
operation, but it was too late.
By the time there were Omega receivers that actually worked in practice,
everybody was using the Transit satellite navigation system (150 and 400
MHz, polar orbiting sats, one position fix "several times each day" (the
sats tended to bunch together, so sometimes you had to wait far longer
than the two hours on average that one would have expected).
