C'mon now, don't you know that some of us just can't help throwing in
silly comments? Besides, a disused telephone line is more likely to be
resonant (more or less) at SLF than VLF, that is if it stands alone and
isn't capacitively coupled to the other pairs in the cable. No wonder
that guy who used one on 80M had so many RFI complaints!
Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I connected a portable rig to one of
the defunct railroad telegraph lines up the street. Maybe I should apply
for the callsign NY2LB for the New York and Long Branch Railroad...
