Hello the all to serious Ian,
I see someone seems to have forgotten the power supply...
There actually are some rigs with built in power supplies and others come
with matching supplies such as the old reliable Drake TR-4. If I'm not
mistaken a mains plug must be connected for them to work. Oh, it must
also be wired for the correct voltage input.
You also overlooked my equally nonsensical response to the "trick
question" in which I said that if you connect one of those rigs intended
for mobile operation to the mains it will put out about 400 watts for a
60th of a second, or in the case of Europower, 800 watts for a 50th of a
second. So, who needs an amplifter to send pulse mode?
Oh, BTW, did you figure out which way the water swirls down the drain yet?
And stay away from those tampon plugs, they could cause a cephalatic
overload if you plug too many in...
We are having record breaking heat here and my brain cell is fried, good
excuse as any. (;->)
