 Now 2 x 0.09 = 0.18, only very slightly different to 0.178, (0.002 Kg/cu M.
Not an enormous difference in density.
When you go on to multiply by 9.8 to convert to Newtons and start quoting
lift at 0 deg Centigrade, it does magnify things quite a lot:-)

BS baffles Brains, as we say in Britain and America.

I have always accepted the statement, even though I am too young to
remember the 1920s, that Helium gave about half the lift of Hydrogen.
It was made by that famous countryman of yours, Graf von Zeppelin.

I did see an item on TV , where someone has restarted the Zeppelin
company and is trying to raise money to build dirigeables to transport
   people.
My view is that, if you had airships using modern plastics in their
construction and GPS equipment to navigate the jet stream, each one
capable of carrying 1,000 people or more. It would be possible to fly to
America in, maybe, 2 days, at a lower price than an airliner or a ship.
This sounds a very sensible idea to me.
  The problem is, convincing investors.
