I would suggest several things.
FIRSTLY.
That it would be a good thing if we did not see the continuing invective
and nasty approach as adopted by Trevor M1CUK with regard to almost
everything that Hank W0RLI says.
SECONDLY
Likewise, a similar comment can be directed to Hank W0RLI to the effect
that he could perhaps desist from making derogatory comment on the
material put out by M1CUK.
GENERAL COMMENT
We know that these operators have exchanged some rather bitter words in
recent months, however, I see no need for such a situation to continue in
public, as it were.
Maybe they could, in future, simply exchange their hurtful remarks using
"SP" type messages.
I am well aware (by first hand experience) as to how we can ALL fall into
the trap of bitter exchanges where a subject is dear to one's heart.
However, sooner or later one has to declare a stop to such actions.
I feel that BOTH these parties have in the past provided, and may continue
to provide, good information to all of us and that they have both made
useful contributions to Amateur Radio. Thus let us have this benefit
without all the whining and accusations.

NOW! From the above exchanges we can also learn a couple of things, and
certain surmise as to some other aspects.
I doubt that "Hanky", as Trevor childishly called him, did get scared. He
probably would have known better.
My judgement is that Hank was speaking in a general sense and that there
could well be quite a few who do not have the same level of computer
knowledge who could have been given a bit of a fright.
Trevor states that he passed the information on from a "reputable" source.
Here he needs to be careful as, if there becomes a history of mistakes, he
(himself) may (ipso facto) no longer become regarded as being a reliable
source and any potential he may have for providing useful information
could well diminish.
I suggest to Trevor that he SHOULD thus "really give a damn".
We also notice, on an inference basis, that there must be something wrong
with Outlook and/or Outlook Express.
This is the second time, in the exchanges referred to, that Trevor has
cast doubt on the benefit/capability of these programs.
This is really a worry, as I suggest that there is probably a large
majority of people out there who DO use one or either both of these
programs and thus, according to Trevor's words must be " wide open to a
great many different attacks/hacks..."
Trevor could do many of us who may not be so aware, a great favour by
providing us with more (useful) information and an explanation as to what
he is referring to.
Just what are these (apparently) other programs that he refers to when he
says that, " There's a great deal of mail software out there thats MUCH
better and much more secure.. " ? ?
I, for one, would be very interested to know and I suggest that many
others would be in the same boat.
Incidentally, we seem to see a number of instances where individuals hint
at having available some certain useful knowledge regarding various
subjects under discussion and yet they apparently deem it necessary to
keep such knowledge to themselves.
I don't see these situations as being at all in tune with the much vaunted
"spirit of Amateur Radio".
