Hi,
This subject has got interesting. Incidentally the added item was just
a bit of fun, as I have no electric ones (yet).
If I remember correctly from an old issue (abt 30 yrs ago) i saw the
reason for rhe term Trolley.
Aparently, earlier versions of the system had a cable from the vehicle
to a snall troller (a small 4 wheel trolley affair) that ran on the
onerhead wires (a pair as in the electric onmibusses. as the design
changedm the pole was developed and had a wheel on the end that ran under
the wire under spring pressure, which became a slider pickup in most cases
of later developement. I should dig out the info and present it again in
better detail.

I'll be seeing you down the track.
