Hello Warren and other INFOS
I have been off for a few days and just listed 29 INFO bulls! The pot is
still on the boil, and it seems Merlin is stil practicing slight of hand.
I guess you can't keep an old magician down! :-)
I have a few comments on what I have read so far.
Warren, you may have the answer by now, but a trolley in the context that
you have asked, is the grooved wheel or in many cases a shoe that contacts
the overhead coductor. So, the name seems to have mutated somewhat.
Here's something you might like to consider and give an opinion.
I see from your packet path, Lakehurst, which reminded me of a solution to
an observation some time ago. I was watching a child with a helium filled
party balloon, and wondered why it was standing up on a taut string.
We all know the usual answer, because it's lighter than air!
But specifically, what causes the balloon to rise, and for that matter the
Goodyear blimp or the Hindenberg, before Lakehurst NJ in 1937! I estimate
Lakehurst is about 100 km from Elizabeth and Point Pleasant Beach.
The same phenomenen applies to a sealed container in a tank of water. Why
does the container rise to the surface, and then stop, and float.
Clue, if needed, this should not happen in the ISS or the space shuttle.
No! not directly connected with gravity, but it's involved.
