For my sins I am on the committee of a local social club. We have about 30 of
these bulbs in the roof as downlighters. The club is on the end of a long run
electricity wise, and was built in 1890. The lights do flicker. As a result
we get through a lot of these bulbs, on average 2 a week. They are on 12
hours a day.
Anyway, we were paying 3 quid a go for the bulbs. I went into a local
electrical wholesaler and, provided you buy them in 20's, they are 50 p each.
