Hi all and thanks for reading.

My Son has given me a Motherboard ? PC chips K7 FSB 400.

Now the story is that he decided to try and update the Flash Bios and it all
went wrong, I have the board hooked up for test and it will start and boot as
far as the Prompt to press DEL for setup Etc then locks at that.

Clear bios setting and even removing battery for Min or 2 has no effect so it
has a problem and I presume it is just as he said " I messed up the update ".

Bios chip: 686 Amibios 1999 S064 0219....Multi legged solder job !!!

Is it possible to recover from this and flash it again correctly or is it a
case of pass to recycling unit ?

I hate to chuck anything potentialy usefull away so any suggestion please ?

Not expensive board so no great loss but hey if I can then why not ???
I have an empty case and PSU plus enough bits could be of use to someone !!!
