My first IBM type computer following a ZX Spectrum, was a Twinhead B&W
(Monochrome) Laptop. It was a 486 and apart from the low (2MB) memory
which could not be expanded easily, I loved it.
One of the things that impressed me more than anything about it, was the
quiet keyboard which only required a gentle touch yet was always positive
and, if this makes sense, was very easy and gentle on the fingers. When
pressing the keys, there was a soft spongy rubbery feel that I have not
experienced before or since. This IBM SK-8820 (guess SK is for silent key)
is the nearest thing to that Twinhead.
This black keyboard with white lettering now enables me to write packet
material without disturbing my wife. No doubt some of you have noticed
a sudden increase in my output - well now you know why!
