Wojciech has written a most interesting report consisting of 8.5 pages.
After having read the report, we think nobody could disagree with his
statements: "The purpose of the Region 1 ERC coincides with the
fundamental constitutional purpose for which IARU and IARU Region 1
were born." And: "As stated above, the coordination of defence of
amateur interests, especially spectrum, was the fundamental reason for which
the IARU was born. The membership will judge IARU by effectiveness
in performing this fundamental objective. In fact, most other activities
such as contests etc can be (and is) effectively performed outside IARU."

The paper has been distributed to the member societies, and you may
get a copy from your society.
