OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE IARU REGION 1 CONFERENCE AT LILLEHAMMER NORWAY

There will be many distinguished guests present at the Opening Ceremony
of the IARU Region 1 General Conference:
Minister of Transport and Communications, Dag Jostein Fjaerevoll.
Governor of the County of Oppland, where Lillehammer is situated,
Knut Korsaeth.
Director of the Post and Telecommunications Authority (PT), Ronald
Ekholdt.
Inspector of the Signals Corps (Haerens samband), brigadier Nils H.
Hveberg.
Director of the ITU Radiocommunications Bureau, Robert W. Jones (VE3CTM).
Mayor of Lillehammer, Audun Tron.
County of Oppland County Executive, Tore E. Berge.
Director of CEPT European Radiocommunications Office (ERO), Thormod Boe
(LA7OF).
President Emeritus IARU Dick Baldwin, W1RU.
The President of IARU Larry Price, W4RA, the Chairman of the IARU Region 1
Executive Committee Louis van de Nadort, PA0LOU, and the President of
NRRL Tom Victor Segalstad, LA4LN, will make speeches during the Opening
Ceremony.
Mr. Jones will declare the Conference opened.
